kamikaze collector

I got the stock collector on my header and was wondering if it is possible to reweld it so its 2.5" throughout? Is this possible or would I have to buy a new collector? Thanks

i've got a kamikazi header with the stock collector also. i had a test pipe made up to match my 3"thermal exaust. so i just cut off the collector and welded on a piece of 2.5" pipe and a new flange to match the test pipe. seems to be the only way to go to me...

What kind of 2.5" pipe did you use and where did you get it?

i just bought a piece of exhaust pipe from pep-boys. i cut it to length and then welded it along with the right size and hole pattern flange. now i think i will get the test pipe jet hot coated to keep it from rusting along with my header...
